Obituary of Damiano Morrone
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Damiano Morrone on Monday April 13, 2026 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 89.
Damiano was the beloved husband of Maria (née Pirillo) for 65 years. Dear father of John (Susan), Dany (Mary) and Peter (Tammy). Forever in the hearts of his siblings Frank (Edna) and Cosimino (Anna). Cherished Nonno of Mitchell (Karly), Colin (Brianna), Nick (Erin), Riley (Ryan) and Taylor. Great grandfather of Henry.
Predeceased by his parents Giovanni and Maria as well as his siblings Anna (Renato) and Pino (Rosanna).
Nonno was well known for his extreme positive attitude and willingness to always help others in any way he could. Damiano will always be NUMBER ONE!
Family and friends are invited to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION and RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 17 at 11:00 am at St. Andrews Church. Burial will then follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
