Christopher Huggins

Obituary of Christopher Huggins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher Huggins on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the age of 63.

Christopher was a devoted and beloved brother to Michael (Carmela) Huggins. He was a cherished uncle to Miley Huggins and Hana and will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Meagan Macguire. He is predeceased by his loving mother, Genevieve Huggins, and his younger brother, Stephen Huggins.

Christopher was a proud university graduate, earning his degree in criminology—an area that reflected his deep interest in understanding the world around him. He had a curious and engaged mind, and he took great enjoyment in staying informed about current events. Watching the news was one of his daily routines, and he was always eager to share his thoughts and engage in lively conversations about politics and world affairs.

A true sports enthusiast, Christopher had a lifelong passion for athletics. He was an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors, and he rarely missed an opportunity to follow his favorite teams or discuss the latest games. His love for sports extended to the NFL as well, making him a devoted and knowledgeable fan. Whether watching a game or debating plays and players, Christopher’s enthusiasm was unmistakable.

Christopher will be remembered for his strong opinions, his engaging conversations, and his unwavering passions. He leaves behind family and friends who will miss his presence, his voice, and the spirited energy he brought into their lives.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTER, 827 East Main St., Welland ON. Donations in memory of Christopher to The Canadian Mental Health Association of Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
