Obituary of Darryl William Shute
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Darryl Shute on Monday, February 23, 2026, in his 57th year.
Darryl will be deeply missed by his loving brother Allen (Amy) Shute and his cherished nephews Jacob and Joshua who brought him endless pride and joy. He will be fondly remembered by his aunt Millie (late Bill) Caldwell of Belleville and Uncle Alex (Heather) Shute of Mississauga, his uncle Ralph (Debbie) Henderson of Orillia, as well as several cousins and friends.
He also leaves behind his close friends who were like family to him, Guy and Becky Bussieres, along with their children Chris (Hannah), Landon and Ava who held a special place in his heart. Treasured lifelong friend of Kelly Haluska.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Albert and Marie Shute and his uncle David.
Darryl was known for his strong work ethic, his larger-than-life personality and his incredible sense of humour. A true life of the party, he loved making people laugh and never missed an opportunity for a good time. He was a devoted fan of the Montreal Canadiens and had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He had a generous spirit and a big heart, and would have gladly given it all up for a good roast beef dinner shared with close family and friends. He especially loved to sing “The Joker” by the Steve Miller Band at karaoke nights – even though he would be the first to admit he wasn’t the greatest singer – he always sang with enthusiasm that brought smiles and laughter to those around him.
Though Darryl kept his circle small, he loved with all he had. Those fortunate enough to be part of his world knew a loyalty and friendship that ran deep, and his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he held close.
