Obituary of Margaret Eveline Dillon

Margaret Dillon ( née O’Shaughnessy)

Today, we mourn the loss of a beautiful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Margaret Dillon, whose kindness and love touched the lives of so many. 

Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children; Cathy Ashby (Dan), Nancy Dillon (Randy), and Matt Dillon (Lara) and her daughter-in-law Marsha Dillon. She was a proud grandmother to Calvin Ashby (Melissa), Bryan Ashby (Jordan), Miranda Ashby (Jordan), Jillian Speck, Jackie Ring (Graeme), Ben Dillon, and Grace Dillon. 

Her greatest joy in her life was her six cherished great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Hudson, Garrett, Cohen, Maeve and Molly who brought her endless happiness and pride. 

Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald (1982) and her son Terry Dillon (2014). She will be deeply missed by her sister Lynn Joyce and brother Allen O’Shaughnessy. 

Margaret was a kind, loving, and generous soul. She held many people close to her heart and her warmth, compassion and gentle presence will never be forgotten. She will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre. In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held by her family. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Niagara Health Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
