Obituary of Marie Blanche Boudreau
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Blanche Jeanne Boudreau (née Giroux) on January 20, 2026, at the age of 95.
Blanche was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Walter; her daughters Audrey (Ray) and Jocelyne (Dave); her granddaughter Anne; her parents, Joseph and Delia Giroux; her brothers Jean-Aimé, Paul, Victor, Antoine, and Thomas; and her sisters Marguerite, Marianna, Cécile, and Rita.
She is survived by her sisters Georgette and Aline and will be lovingly remembered by her nine children: Maureen (Jocelyn), Rock (Gayle), Marlene (Tony-D), Ronald (Wilma), Carole (Curtis-D), Nancy (Robert), Julie (Robert), Nathalie (Aurelio), and Michelle (Jay).
Blanche also leaves behind her grandchildren: Sandra (Patrick), Jennifer (Mark), Stephanie, Danielle (Julia), Frank (CarrieAnn), Melissa (Shawn), Christina (Mark), Natacha (Shane), Shawn, Nanette (Gilson), Joshua, Nadine (James), Brandy, Douglas, Drayden, Jessica, Amanda (Simao), Sarah (Dryden), Lauren (Sam), Aerik, Max (Gabrielle), Ben, and Sam (Faith); her great-grandchildren: Amy, Jennifer, Natasha, Ben, Savannah, Reece, Theo, Anthony, Aaron, Abbott, Avery, Julian, Lilly, Damian, Isabelle, Kaleb, Mikayla, Beau, Mathew, Peyton, Jacob (Morgan), Lucas (Sarah), Sarina, Layla (Anthony), Adelynn, Mya, and Owen; and her great-great-granddaughter, Ava.
The family would like to thank the staff at DH Rapelje Lodge for the excellent care given to Blanche over the years.
The Boudreau family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTER, 827 East Main Street, Welland, on Thursday, January 22nd from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 23rd at Église Sacre Coeur at 11:30AM. Following Blanche’s wishes, cremation will follow and burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the charity of your choice is greatly appreciated by the family.
