Obituary of Wilda Leose Lapensée
It is with great sadness that the family of Wilda Leose Lapensée (née Barrette) announces her passing at Welland Hospital on November 15, 2025, in her 99th year. Wilda is now reunited with her loving husband, Lucien, and all of her siblings. Cherished mother of Madeleine (Ted) and Claude (Lorraine). Beloved grandmother to several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved for her boundless kindness and will be missed by many.
A big thank you to the staff at the Welland Hospital for their compassion and wonderful care provided to Wilda.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre, 827 East Main St., Welland, ON. Visitation will be held at Église Sacré-Coeur, 72 Empire Street, Welland, from 10:00-11:00 am, on Friday, November 21, 2025, with a funeral mass starting at 11:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Wilda’s family invites you to donate to the charity of your choice in her memory.
