Obituary of Halina Bossev
It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Halina Bossev, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2025, at the age of 68, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on November 12, 1956, in Poland, Halina lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to those around her. She was the cherished wife of Vladimir, the devoted mother of Lucas and daughter-in-law Chelsey, and the beloved sister of Danusia and sister-in-law to Krzysztof. She is lovingly remembered by her father Zdzisław and was predeceased by her dear mother Zofia. She leaves behind not only her family but countless friends and extended relatives who were touched by her kindness, her radiant smile, and her generous spirit.
Halina’s life was deeply rooted in her faith as a devoted follower of Christ. She was devoted to God and to serving people with love and humility. Together with her husband, Vladimir, she faithfully supported their church for most of her life, creating a place of worship, encouragement, and belonging. Her heart was always open to those who felt lost, and she was quick to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Through prayer, compassion, and her steady devotion, Halina reflected Christ’s love in all she did, leaving behind a legacy of faith that will continue to inspire and guide those who knew her.
Halina found immense joy in her work as a tax accountant. She didn’t just see numbers and paperwork, she saw people. Each client was more than just a name on a file; they became friends she truly cared for. She poured her heart into her work, and her clients loved her in return. Halina’s warmth and genuine interest in others meant that wherever she went, someone knew her, greeted her, and remembered the joy she brought into their lives.
Halina will forever be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and her unwavering love for her family and friends and people in general.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Scarborough Hospital, and to all who offered prayers, love, and support during Halina’s final days.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Halina’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St, from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday October 11, 2025 with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Doan’s Ridge Cemetery. The family kindly requests donations to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society in Halina’s memory. For those who wish, flowers are welcome as a tribute to the beauty and joy Halina brought into this world.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, the memory of Halina’s love, laughter, and light will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her just as her beloved sunflowers continue to lift their faces toward the sun.
