Obituary of Ronald Todd
It is with heavy-hearted sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald (Ron) Todd, who left us peacefully on Tuesday, September 30th, 2025, at the age of 78.
Ron leaves behind his beloved wife and lifelong partner, Rita Todd; his cherished children Marc Todd and Lianne Kirk;his daughter-in-law Sandra Maletta Todd; and his adored grandchildren Julianna Todd, Devin Kirk, and Kristina Todd.
To say Ron was a jack-of-all-trades would be an understatement—he was truly a “Ron-of-all-trades.” Whether with his hands, his heart, or his sharp mind, Ron made the world around him a more beautiful place. A man of many talents, endless curiosity, and a knack for fixing and building anything, he loved to read, play chess, and proudly preside as president of card games. In his retirement, he embraced life—basking in the sun, shirtless in his shorts, soaking in its warmth in his backyard while reading a good book.
We will always remember Ron for his endearing smile, his quick wit and humour, and the unmistakable twinkle in his eyes. He brought light and laughter to those around him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff at Welland Hospital for their compassionate care and support during such a difficult time.
We miss him. We love him. We will remember him—always.
