I worked with Teena at CFRC Toronto for two years and we kept in contacted throughout the years. We later reconnected in St Jean at a CF Health Svcs conference and kept in touched. I just found out about her passing and I am truly in shock. I recently remember her celebrating her daughter’s wedding. My condolences to her family and friends, she will be truly missed. It is going to take me awhile to get used to this sad news.

The members of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Radio (SUPRAD) System Oldtimers Association were saddened by the news of Teena’s passing. During her successful and impressive 26 year career in the Canadian Forces, one of her postings was Canadian Forces Station Leitrim. Employed as a Resource Management Support (RMS) clerk, Sergeant Teena Pereira, took care of all the administrative and financial requirements of the personnel working at CFS Leitrim. Many of those personnel, who were assigned to positions in the operations building, were Supplementary Radio System operators, analysts and technicians. We sincerely thank Teena for her care of our personnel, and we thank her for her dedication, professionalism and loyalty in serving her country. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Teena was one in a million! We met her in Cuba in January 2022, repeating the trip in 2023 and getting together several times after that. Pat and I will miss our special friend!

I had the pleasure of meeting Teena in Cuba a couple years ago. We immediately hit it off and became friends. We were able to meet up again in Cuba in 2024 and had an amazing. She had a heart of gold and Cuba will never be the same. She often talked about her family and her love for them. Please know that she will live forever through your memories. RIP Teena, you will be missed. ❤️
