Obituary of Monique Claire Morningstar

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Monique Morningstar (Nee Lauzon) on July 21, 2025, in Welland, Ontario, at the age of 81. 

Monique was a devoted mother to her three sons, Michael, Allan and Christopher, beloved grandmother to Emily and Mathieu, and a cherished sister to Renee (Rejean), Robert (Claudette), Claude (Ruth), Elyse (Bruce) and Francoise (Conrad). Her warmth, strength and kindness left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Monique will be remembered for her quiet grace, loving spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends. 

In keeping with Monique’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Monique’s memory may be made to the Cancer and Diabetes Foundation.
