Obituary of Rosaire Leopold Audet
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosaire Audet, who peacefully left us on July 6, 2025, at the age of 91, at the Welland Hospital. He passed away with his beloved wife of 67 years, Fleurette Audet (née Desmarais) by his side.
Rosaire’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted father to Diane Scott (Del), Nicole Bollman (Ron), Daniel Audet (Mireille) and Loriann Duguay (James). He was a proud and loving papa to his grandchildren: April Scott (Mark), Adam Scott, Eric Bollman and Justin Duguay (Chelsey). His face would light up whenever he saw his cherished great granddaughter Heidi Duguay.
Rosaire is survived by his dear sister, Rita Hince from Timmins, and will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Francois and Délia Audet (née Rouleau). As well as his brothers; Eugene, Gerald, Ernest, Emile and Lucien; his sisters: Irene and Claire; and his grandson Ryan Bollman.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Welland Hospital Emergency Department and ICU for their compassion and care. A special thank you as well to all the Paramed team for all their ongoing support throughout Rosaire’s care journey.
Rosaire will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love he gave and the legacy he leaves behind.
The family invites friends and relatives to celebrate Rosaire’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Monday, July 14th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., followed by a church service at Église Sacré-Coeur at 11:30 A.M. and internment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to a charity of your choice is greatly appreciated by the family.
