Obituary of Céline Carmen Labrie
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Céline on July 2, 2025, at the Welland Hospital. She leaves behind her mother Lorraine Labrie; her brothers, Andre Labrie (Geraldine) and Pierre Labrie (Gail); her sisters Louise Lachance (Mike) and Anne Cameron (Bill); and sister-in-law Catherine Labrie. Céline is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Céline was pre-deceased by her father Herve (2002); and her brother Raymond (2022). She will always be remembered by Dave Toulouse.
Céline attended schools in Welland and later became a dental hygienist, where she worked until her Multiple Sclerosis prevented her from doing so. Despite the debilitating illness, she remained positive and lived life to its fullest.
Our great appreciation to her PSW’s, her special angels (you know who you are), her nurses, her care coordinator Michelle Carrier, Fleurette, Marcel and other neighbours who helped Céline over the years remain in her apartment. The family extends a heartfelt gratitude to the first responders and all the staff at the Welland Hospital’s Emergency & Intensive Care Unit for the excellent care you provided for Céline.
The family invites friends and relatives to come and honour Céline’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, July 7, 2025, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL. A private burial of ashes will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to MS Society or March of Dimes would be greatly appreciated by the family.
