Obituary of André Charrois
It is with broken hearts, we announce the passing of André Charrois on Friday, May 30, 2025. He has peacefully left us to be reunited with his first love, Réjeanne Blanchet Charrois.
André leaves behind his beloved second wife, Caroline Champagne Paquette, and his cherished children: Louise, Guylène, Marcelle, and Robert (Shauna). He is also mourned by his stepchildren: Lilianne (Tim Bobinski), Lorraine (David Alexander), Pauline (Robert Benner), and Louise (Jacques Boudreau), along with his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his siblings: Gemma (the late Jacques Bélanger), Alberte (the late Jean-Paul Thériault), Florent (Hermence), Rachelle Charrois, Réal Charrois (Raymonde), Claude Charrois (Rose Hélène), and Charles-Émile Charrois (the late Jacqueline). He is also lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Reine Marie (the late Jean-Paul) and the entire Blanchet family.
André was predeceased by his loving parents, Adalbert and Yvonne Charrois (née Gill), as well as by Lucienne Lagacé, and his brothers Jean-Paul, Guy (Lucille Lavalée), and Richard.
Born in St. Adalbert, Quebec, André moved to Welland in 1966, where he became a devoted member of the community and of Les Chevaliers de Colomb at Église Sacré-Cœur.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Foyer Richelieu for their compassionate care.
The family invites friends and relative to THE WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, for a visitation on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Tuesday June 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Following André’s wishes, cremation will then take place, and a private internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara or to the Foyer Richelieu are greatly appreciated by the family.

C'est avec le cœur brisé que nous annonçons le décès d'André Charrois le vendredi 30 mai 2025. Il nous a quitté paisiblement pour retrouver son premier amour, Réjeanne Blanchet Charrois.
André laisse dans le deuil sa seconde épouse bien-aimée, Caroline Champagne Paquette, et ses enfants chéris : Louise, Guylène, Marcelle et Robert (Shauna). Il laisse également dans le deuil ses beaux-enfants : Lilianne (Tim Bobinski), Lorraine (David Alexander), Pauline (Robert Benner) et Louise (Jacques Boudreau), ainsi que ses six petits-enfants et sept arrière-petits-enfants.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses frères et soeurs : Gemma (feu Jacques Bélanger), Alberte (feu Jean-Paul Thériault), Florent (Hermence), Rachelle Charrois, Réal Charrois (Raymonde), Claude Charrois (Rose Hélène) et Charles-Émile Charrois (feu Jacqueline). Il laisse également dans le deuil sa belle-soeur Reine Marie (feu Jean-Paul) et toute la famille Blanchet.
André a été précédé dans la mort par ses parents bien-aimés, Adalbert et Yvonne Charrois (née Gill), ansi que par Lucienne Lagacé et ses frères Jean-Paul, Guy (Lucille Lavalée) et Richard.
Né à Saint-Adalbert, au Québec, André s'installe à Welland en 1966, où il devient un membre dévoué de la communauté et des Chevaliers de Colomb à l'Église Sacré-Coeur.
La famille remercie chalereusement le personnel du Foyer Richelieu pour leur soins attentionnées.
La famille invites parents et amis à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE WELLAND, CENTRE DE CRÉMATION ET DE RÉCEPTION, située au 827, rue East Main, à Welland, pour honorer la vie d'André, le 2 lundi 2 juin 2025, de 14 h à 16 h et de 18 h à 20 h. Une cérémonie dans la chapelle du salon aura lieu le mardi 3 juin 2025 à 11 h. Selon les volontés d'André, la crémation aura lieu et une inhumation privée aura lieu ultérieurement. Au lieu des fleurs, la famille apprécierait grandement les dons à la Société Alzheimers de Niagara ou au Foyer Richelieu.
