Obituary of Marie-Paule Rouillard
C’est avec grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Marie-Paule Rouillard (née Lanoix), le mardi 29 avril 2025, à Hospice Niagara. Marie-Paule est née le 10 février 1941, à St.Mathieu, Québec.
Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux Roland Rouillard avec qui elle a partagé sa vie pendant 62 belles années. Elle laisse aussi dans le deuil ses trois filles, Mylene (Serge Haché), Janique (Paul Lafontaine), et Vicky (Brent Taylor). Marie-Paule était très fière de ses cinq petits-enfants Jeremi, Janie (Ludovic), Alexandre (Sarah), Justin (Victoria) et Corinne et elle les gâtait d’amour. Elle était également très fière d’avoir trois arrière petits-enfants, Sophie, Félix et Léo. Marie-Paule serait toujours dans le coeur de ses plusieurs frères et soeurs, Georgette (Yvon), Ghislaine (Albert), Jean-Claude (Marie-Claire), Guy, Bertrand (Roseline), Rhéal (Line), Jacinthe (Michel), Aurore (Gérard), et Josée ( Guy). Marie-Paule fut pré décédée par ses parents bien aimés, Paul Lanoix et Thérèse Simard, ainsi que sa sœur Aurore et son beau-frère Gérard.
Marie-Paule fut une personne douce et toujours positive. Elle adorait passer du temps en famille, faire de la lecture, jouer aux cartes, faire du camping et résoudre des Sudoku. L’Heritage de notre chère maman sera toujours sa douceur envers les autres. Ses dernières semaines furent passées à Hospice Niagara. Nous sommes très reconnaissants des soins incroyables qu’elle a reçu à l’Hospice ainsi qu’au personnel dévoué qui ont pris soin de notre courageuse Marie-Paule.
La famille et les amis sont invités à visiter le SALON FUNÉRAIRE WELLAND, CENTRE DE CRÉMATION ET RÉCEPTION, 827 East Main St., Welland, le jeudi 1er mai de 14h à 16h et de 18h à 20h. Une cérémonie funéraire aura lieu le vendredi 2 mai au salon, à 10h. Selon les desires de Marie-Paule, la cremation sera ensuit lieu et un enterrement privé suivra au cimetière à une date ultèrieure. En guise de sympathie, des dons à Hospice Niagara seraient grandement appréciés par la famille.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie-Paule Rouillard (née Lanoix) on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, at Hospice Niagara. Marie-Paule was born on February 10th,1941, in St. Mathieu, Québec.
Marie-Paule leaves behind her beloved husband of 62 years Roland Rouillard with whom she built a wonderful life. She will forever be remembered by her three daughters Mylene (Serge Haché), Janique (Paul Lafontaine) and Vicky (Brent Taylor). Forever in the hearts of her five grand-children, Jérémi, Janie (Ludovic), Alexandre (Sarah), Justin (Victoria), and Corinne, as well as her three great grand-children, Sophie, Felix and Leo, whom she was exceptionally proud of. Cherished by her many brothers and sisters: Georgette (Yvon), Ghislaine (Albert), Jean-Claude (Marie-Claire), Guy, Bertrand (Roseline), Rhéal (Line), Aurore (Gérard), Jacinthe (Michel), Josée (Guy). She is predeceased by her loving parents, Paul Lanoix and Therese Simard, her sister Aurore and her brother in-law Gerard.
Marie-Paule was always a positive, soft-spoken person. She loved spending time with her family, reading, camping, playing cards and Sudokus. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her and they will forever remember her kindness to others.
Mom spent her final weeks at Hospice Niagara. We are forever grateful for the excellent care and compassion she received. The staff at Hospice made her final weeks filled with dignity and respect.
The family will receive family and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTER, 827 East Main St. Welland, on Thursday May 1st, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on May 2nd, 2025, at 10:00am. Following Marie-Paule’s wishes, cremation will then take place, and a private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Niagara would be well received.
