Obituary of Marie Thérèse Diane Rouillier
Diane ROUILLIER (Therrien)
November 8, 1935 – April 28, 2025
ROUILLIER, Diane (née Therrien) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Diane Rouillier, on April 28, 2025, at 89 years of age, with family by her side, at Royal Rose Place in Welland. Mom was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Rouillier, for 68 years. Cherished mother of Marcel Rouillier (Manon) of Welland, the late Suzanne Lockhart (Robert) of Ponoka, Alberta, Linda Poirier (René) of Fraserville and Lise Learn (Edward) of Fonthill. She will be missed by her 11 grandchildren, Nancy, Daniel, Richard, Nicole, Danniel, Renée, Alexandre, Ty, Peyton, Stephanie, Kayla, as well as her 26 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hailey, Hudson, Hayden, Xavier, Jayden, Riley, Chloe, Lorelai, Tayah, Sophie, Emilie, Charlotte, Madelyn, Adèle, Alivia, Sawyer, Harley, Brooks, Lincoln, Kayleigh, Hayden, Owen, Hudson, Hunter and Lucas.
She is predeceased by her parents, Louis and Clara (née Maurice) Therrien; brothers Roger, Claude (late Cécile née Demers); granddaughter Tyra Learn, great-granddaughter Hope Chalmers and great-grandson Spencer Poirier. She will also be missed by her brothers, Gilles Therrien (late Irène), Jean-Guy Therrien (Kathy), sisters, Sr. Lise Therrien, FDLS and Sr. Isabelle Therrien, SSCI; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends (particularly Gisèle Champagne).
Our mom was a beacon of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of selfless support and a profound impact on the lives of those who knew her. She poured her heart and soul into raising her children, and spending time with her grandchildren, always prioritizing their well-being and happiness. She was a true role model, demonstrating the importance of family, kindness, and perseverance. Mom and Dad’s home had an open-door policy, and the parties were always fun and welcoming. No one ever went hungry! Mom loved to host the yearly family reunions. Family was always important to her. We all shared great memories at the cottage on Cordova Lake with the family. She adored her bunkie and called it her second home. She loved family trips, camping, and Sunday drives.
Heartful thanks to the staff of Royal Rose for their years of compassionate care for our mom. Special thanks to Meagan, Parth, Jennifer, Ryan, David, Jill, Phil, Sean, as well as the Robinson floor staff. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved.
