Obituary of Yvonne Clark

CLARK- Yvonne Janis (née Alport)

Passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, at the age of 93. Yvonne was the beloved wife of the late Don Clark. She is survived by her loving niece Pat Simon and great nephew Christopher Keating, stepdaughter Cindy Keep of Iowa and her great niece Lisa Clark of Barrie and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Erie and Roy Alport, sister Maureen McCaffery, brother-in-law Claire McCaffery, nephew Dennis Simon and great nephew Chad Simon. 

Yvonne was always hardworking, sometimes holding down two or three jobs at a time. Yvonne worked at Sunbeam Shoe Factory in Port Colborne and was later pat owner of Guenther Shoe Factory. 

Yvonne always enjoyed knitting and crocheting over the years. She always had a true love for music and dancing. She held many fond memories singing with her mother at home. She enjoyed several years going to her trailer in Florida in the winter and a trailer in High Banks in the summer. 

Yvonne could be described as a bit of a joker, always up for action, and quick to laugh. Her happy Go lucky personality was endearing to all those around her. 

The family invites relatives and friends to join them in celebrating Yvonne’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Donations appreciated by the family to a charity of your choice.
