Obituary of Pearl James

Our family has the sad task of announcing the death of Pearl James, on Friday, February 21, 2025, at the age of 93. Beloved mother of Tom (Sheila), Jim (Sue), and June (Gary) Smith. Cherished grandmother of Michelle Smith-Croteau, Cory Smith, Alana McPherson, and Katie Dupont. Treasured sister of Ann (Clinton) Leishman, Alice Kennedy, and Sheila (David) Matthew. Pearl will be dearly missed by her many great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Predeceased by her parents, William and Kathleen White; and siblings, Evelyn Walker, Bruce White, Jean Pennanen, and Lois Sibbald. 

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honouring Pearl’s life at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to Rapelje Lodge would be appreciated by the family.
