My sincerest condolences to all her family and friends. Joanne will be missed because she was a truly lovely person. Joanne was one of my best friends at Martha Cullimore School. Sometimes we would go to her house after school. There was always something going on and people coming and going. We would go to the basement where it was a bit more quiet and play school. She was always the teacher. We lost touch in our teens. She would drop by and chat with my mom. They both enjoyed those visits. My mom gave Jo the recipe for a golden cake with cherries which became a family favourite at Joanne’s too. For me, it was a pleasant surprise to reconnect with her 24 years ago. Joanne is in good hands now. I’m glad she has found Peace everlasting. A friend.

Joanne was the best friend anyone could ever want. I always felt that she was a better woman than I, and her love of Jesus helped me in my own walk with Christ. She was long-suffering but never complained. I loved Joanne for her silliness, too. We had some good laughs and great adventures together. She loved her family so much, it was everything to her. I look forward to seeing her again.
