I first met Violet when she was enrolled in my home childcare program. She was just 11months old. I watched her grow and learn with the other children in my care. She loved playing, learning, running around and laughing with them, she had such an infectious laugh and always a twinkle in her eye, she had us all laughing. It was devastating when we learned of her illness when she was only 2yrs old but she was a trooper and with everything she had to go through, she was a true fighter and I really hoped and prayed with all my heart that she could beat this. I will never forget you Violet, you will forever be in my heart!

It was an honour to teach Violet her first year of school. I will always remember her quick wit and infectious smile. She always knew what she wanted and wasn’t afraid to demand it. She touched so many lives. I last saw her last spring at the special olympics and that smile was still there. Sending my sincere condolences. Lisa Dempsey NCC School

I still remember the first time we met and Violet just held out her arms to me to be picked up. I expected she wasn't paying attention and thought I was someone else and would change her mind... but she didn't. She stayed and got carried around as her mom showed me their house. She didn't bother fitting into people's expectations.
