My two boys have been coached/helped by Chad on the ice for a couple seasons. I had always noticed and appreciated the way he was with all the kids. He was wonderful, very positive and always smiling. He made such a huge difference and was a great role model to the boys. I’m a grandparent of two of the young hockey players that were lucky enough to have been coached by Chad. The most wonderful memory I have of Chad occurred during my 5 year old grandson’s first time in the goalie crease. He spent the first half of the game repeatedly falling to the ice not having worn the bulky equipment before. As many times as Lawson fell to the ice Chad was there to pick him up and give him an approving and supportive pat on the helmet. It warmed my heart to see him help Lawson and encourage him to continue. Lawson came home wanting to be a goalie. I know that Chad’s love for the kids and hockey will be forever missed.

Was very fortunate to have played hockey on Sunday afternoons with Chad. We always looked forward to sharing what bbq creations he and I had been smoking and grilling and always sharing what he had planned to hit the smoker or the bbq that Sunday night. He always shared stories about his family, coaching and how his minor hockey team was doing. He was an awesome person and teammate. My heartfelt condolences. Matt Taylor
